My songs are as follows...
Call to Worship: Forever
Songs of Thankfulness: He Has Made Me Glad / We Bring the Sacrifice of Praise
Offertory: My Tribute (Carol Joe Werner on Piano)
Songs of Praise: Holy, Holy, Holy and Amazing Grace (My Chains are Gone)
Special Music: The Longer I Serve Him
Closing: Forever

This Sunday, we celebrated our teachers. We have great teachers here at FBCH - and this day was dedicated to saying thanks and giving God the glory. We again abbreviated the service because we wanted to give time to our body to say thank you to their respective teachers...

So, here's what I thought about the music...

Forever worked great as an opener. The songs of thankfulness worked great... Everything was good (not great because I really missed Gary... our Keyboardist... he really completes our quartet of musicians) and did what it was supposed to do. I really thought the stand out parts - musically - were the specials. Offertory was a fantastic version of "My Tribute" by Carol Joe Werner and Cheryl Lewis did an outstanding job with "The Longer I Serve Him". We were unable to sing "Give Thanks" and I was really looking forward to it... but God had other plans. Besides - this week was not about that song. It was about giving thanks and FBCH did just that. Kudoes to our members for such heart felt "Thanks."

... and I thank you for coming by.
Check out my Confessional its going to be posted here tomorrow!
Keep singing His praises and have a great week.

  1. Excellent choices for your songs of thankfulness. They are classics and with good reason; both remain on our play list. "Give Thanks" would have also been great too!

Thanks for sharing your set list and thoughts on it.
